There are a lot of companies that sell solutions for moles and they are quite expensive.
I think the 356 is a real inexpensive solution, even at $3.57 / gallon.
Maybe 1200 rpm would be just as effective.
If you have moles you would understand.

The 356 as a garden tool...

LOL.
Fortunately I don't have moles, etc. The fire ants are the killers in my lawn. We don't flood up here (elevation about 250'), but even flooded properties have problems. Depending on the amount of the rain, the ants do one of two things. If it's just ordinary rain, they build a more mounded nest until the ground dries again.
On flooded ground, they often cling to floating debris and form a "raft." I don't think the eggs and queen are saved, but the rest of them are soldiers and love to bite and sting. If you don't have 'em, consider yourself lucky. If you do, the "pimples" will eventually resolve. It's like a mosquito bite that gets infected in the next day or two.
They're lovely...

Gas is $3.75 here in Jax, Fla.
I also have a minor problem with moles in the lawn. Perhaps I should try using the 356? However, the original pic looks like a gopher hole. The moles around here a very small. Maybe 3-4"

I haven't seen a mole (or perhaps it was a field mouse) since the 80's, when I was on board a jet queued for takeoff at Lambert-St. Louis airport. It was the middle of winter and the poor thing was scurrying between chunks of snow and ice.
I didn't see any Porsches, though.

Simple fix
Get a Jack Russell Terrier...I have one...I have ten acres...
There are no, and I mean no, none, nada varmits on the property.
One year all our neighbors had moles...big mounds.
We had dead moles on the porch every day for a week...then no more moles..
These dogs are bread for this, its all they think about, they pace around looking for the next rodent...funny to watch, lethal little dog in action...kinda scary sometimes.

Gary,
I submitted your picture, quote, and link to this thread to Autoweek magazine and BWTM (but wait there's more). Your car and your caption can be found in this weeks Autoweek magazine just inside the back cover. I apologize that they incorrectly credited me with the photo. It was all you. Thanks for the humor and congrats on getting in a national magazine albeit anonymously. At least you won't take the heat when PETA gets ahold of the photo.
All the best,
Charles
