Way OT but since it's show time again, here's a rarely seen 1939 Bugatti: Twin engines behind the pilot, counter rotating shaft-drive props. Est. 356 mph before project was put on hold by the war.

Thanks for sharing Dennis. The original restored version of this is at the EAA museum in Oshkosh, WI. I had a really close look at it last summer. This replica looks like it might fly soon, perhaps this month!

Apparently the original never flew. But we'll find out soon enough if it can fly and if so, how well.

Here's a 1955 plane that does fly and they're still being made. Designed by Stelio Frati. Like the original Mooney M20 it has a wood wing. Both beautiful designs. Like the 356 Porsche from the same era! http://www.falcoaircraft.org/

They're homebuilt. Pretty planes, there was a small Falco fly in here about a week ago. Fuselage is plywood too.
