June 28th at Autoclub dragway in Fontana will be the 45th annual antique nationals. There will be a lot of these old cars running through the quarter mile. There is also a lot of sophisticated speed equipment to be seen. Imagine chain driven dual overhead cam heads for model A and B engines from the 30s. Injection, magnetos. It is a lot of fun if you are the gear head type.

sabastian when i was in fifth grade and just starting to be able to read a real book i found the author "william cambell gult" who wrote stories about those guys who raced dirt track cars but i've never seen them. your tube makes me want to revisit those old books. thanks for sharing those bygone days

check that "william cambell gault." now i want to track those books down to read again. those guys had a hunger to compete. which reminds me to congratulate cliff murray on another thread
