this is a part of ???? Came in the boxes that had a 1500s motor I pick up a few years back 40012 1952 motor

it was in with all the motor tin . seemed to be as old as the other tin had it power coated with the bunch. Never seen that kind of tin on the 356 so not sure

Looks like a fender for a Lotus 7 or something of that ilk.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Could be that the guy included it in his powder coating run to get it done for some other application,..then just forgot it was in the bunch when he sold the Porsche stuff.

I pick up the motor sum 15 years back in Alaska payed $250 for it. Had most all the tin with it. when you run the motor numbers it is # 12 of the 1500s motor built. The list of the cars that mite have that motor in it 1952 Coup; Cab: America Roadster; or Clockler special. One never knows there was a lot of money in Alaska at that time.

With some suppliers, it could well have been from that batch over there with the other guy wondering where in hell it went...
