Steve,
That sounds similar to what I remember and what I "heard".

Rosemary/Bill; as usual, you are completely full of it!
Vince, thank you for your explanation; it was perfect, easy to understand, although not easy enough for the dimwits.

I have an idea, how about EVERYONE STOP TALKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No victory laps, no re-hashing, no more legalize. Just stop talking about it. If the case isn't over, then time will tell us that. If it is over, let it be over.
If we stop talking about all the tiny little ugly details of this case then we as a club can put this past us. If we learned some things along the way, great, those changes will come out in time. But everyone getting bitter and nasty all over again isn't doing anyone any favors, or their blood pressure.
If there is silence here, all that is left is 3 or 4 idiots on another forum reading arcane tax law to each other like a bunch of camp fire campers spouting poetry about La Révolution.
So no more post game wrap ups, score cards, who-said-whats, what-said-who's, just enjoy your cars, it's a car club, it was before this lawsuit and it will be after, so let it be one.

Adam,
There's more than a tablespoon of irony in you telling others to stop posting about it; you seem to have not taken your advice to heart.
Further, you had mentioned some time back that we might learn from this and I replied that there seems to be little to learn from it other than if someone is willing to hire legal help and bring suit, there's not much to stop it.
But perhaps there are some lessons here; I'm not sure. But I am sure they will not be discovered by ignoring the matter and avoiding discussion of it if they are there.
Finally, the Registry will not be what it was; at the very least, the structure of the Registry's governance has changed as a result of some of those lessons. And for very good reason, personal relationships may never return to the 'good old days'.
Alex,
Sorry, see above.

Hey come on Adam - where's your club pride? WE have more idiots than they do!
Seriously though, re-living past anger won't settle any case as you say. Being serious about ending it and calmly evaluating the present status might. One can hope. Better to accept a not great deal negotiated for yourself, even with an enemy, than one you might like even less decided for you by a guy who wears a black bathrobe to work.
