It's a 355; a prototype of course! Ha!

You know his other car has the license plate frame that says, "MY OTHER CAR IS A PORSCHE"!

Here is another one.
This one appeared last December in the Hagerty Weekly News story titled "The Cars of Cuba: Photos and stories from Havana".

With reference to David Lawrence's photo, I've always wondered why in Cuba they continued to drive and preserve American cars from pre revolutionary days as opposed to importing (via the government of course) Russian Ladas, Moskvtich or East European cars, Trrabant Skoda, etc especially during the Soviet era? Considering the anti American (supposedly being the root of all Cuba's problems and/or inefficiencies) political rhetoric coming from the Castro junta, they would have labeled American cars as "counter-revolutionary" !

Larry-
You should rent the movie Yank Tanks, it delves deep into the crazy lengths guys go through to keep their cars going in Cuba, and there is a whole section of the movie on soviet cars and the combined American-Soviet cars like the Chevy-Volga, where parts were interchangeable, since the Russians copied the Chevy 350!

Don't worry Larry, I'm not the pretty Wright, that's the Mrs.

When the movie came out I interviewed the guy who made it for our magazine, very interesting story. He went down there to film Humanitarian movies for non-profits, and he had that done in about a week, but had a permit to film for six weeks. He was fascinated by the cars so he did some in depth stuff, like tracking down the guy who chromed behind his chicken coop, or the guy who did windshields, or the guy who painted cars, he said they couldn't get paint, but they could get nail polish, and you had to save up 8-12 bottles to paint a whole car. It's a great movie.

Remember, I'm not the pretty one.

I'm still trying to figure out the "Porsche Offy" engine. From what I can see, who's to say it's not a Vega engine with a big a-- carb bolted to it?

Don't think Vegas had a V-8.

Vegas did have a twin-cam Cosworth engine for a couple of years and there were some that were hot-rodded with V-8's.
