She won!
Yep, our daughter, Michelle Colvard, is the new Ms. Wheelchair America for 2009! We're in Washington, D.C. right now, and had the thrill of watching her getting the traditional crown and flowers. Looks like an exciting year's in store, starting with the Rose Bowl Parade!
Here she is as Ms. Wheelchair Texas--I don't have the new photos yet:

We're still in the Blue Ridge area! Drove quite a bit of the Parkway today, and will drive the Dragon tomorrow. We holed up in Independence, VA for the night--nice little town. The manager apologized that he didn't have a "regular" room and would have to put us up in a suite instead, for $67. Aw, gee...Pat Daily wrote:Congratulations Deb and Michelle. Hope you had a nice drive from Texas and got to see some of the Blue Ridge.

Oh, but we ARE in the MINI! Yup--can't pass up the Dragon in the ol' gal! We came to Washington fully loaded--as in "can't find a place for the maps." Then Michelle won the pageant, and a large--HUGE, really--set of luggage and a large ceramic bowl. "Mom, would you please take them with you 'cause we can't take them with us on the plane." Soooo, it was time to rearrange everything. And it all fit, somehow! Oh well, the maps are usually on your lap anyway, right?Pat Daily wrote:I'll bet you are having fun, but wishing you were in a Mini or a 356!
We drove the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway today--should be home tomorrow. What a sweet trip!
