Those U-tube videos make really smile and even laugh out loud! I love the sound of Fiat Abarth engines and the Kawasaki is pretty good too. Thanks

fiat 500 petrol/electric hybrid

Fiat are planning to bring out a twin cylinder "500" later this year the Aria.

It will emit less than 100g/km of CO2 and will therefore be free of road fund tax in the UK.

I have read that it will give 80 mpg.

Round the corner there is petrol electric hybrid too.

With fuel prices likely to reach $15 a gallon in the UK soon I am going to buy one.

Several years ago, on a trip to Florida, I detoured by way of a MINI drive in Atlanta. At the time I was driving a BMW, but I was warmly welcomed, as were 99 other cars (about half were MINIs). The object of our drive was a large microcar museum on the outskirts of Atlanta. Frantastic! I had no idea there were so many varieties! As I recall, there were over 100, from Messerschmidts to Isettas. And even the Isetta had multiple incarnations!

Hmmm--just looked on Yahoo and found this:

That's the place!

I would like to have one of those. I am going to Italy in October and will be on the lookout.

Thanks for this post also. That would be a weekend destination for me and the better half.

Although, she says they are all "clown cars" and wouldn't ride in one. If I could get her in a Mini I think she would change here tune.

What's with people categorizing the MINI as "this or that? My son calls it a "chick car." Yeah, I've heard of that one before, but really don't understand how a turbocharged MINI is a chick car. I mean, c'mon! And he's even driven it--very competitively--in an autocross.

And the clown car thing, too. You're right--you need to get her in the car, preferably behind the wheel. Once she drives one that kind of talk will probably disappear...

Rant over.
