Alex

Is the hundred jahre badge the one that was available from dealers this year?

Württemburg Porsche Club. Special badge handed out to participants of the 1959 Slalom. Probably my favourite Porsche badge off all time but I guess I am biased 8)

Tevor,

Do you remember what these cost in US dollars? Just went to the Porsche Museum shop website and they didn't have anything listed for purchase. Guess ya gotta go to buy em?

Mark,

I looked for these on the internet and ebay for months before I finally contacted the Porsche Museum by email. I didn't buy one, but I believe they were $60 plus shipping. The total was somewhere around $90.

Hi Mark,

I don't remember exactly what the conversion rate was back in November when I went, but I have the receipt for what I paid in Euros:
Porsche 60 years = 39 Euros
Ferry 100 years = 25 Euros
Museum opening = 25 Euros

When I bought mine, the woman working the counter asked if I was a member of any Porsche car club in the US, if you are they will give you a 15% discount, they did for me when I was there in person.

I'd call the Museum shop and buy them direct from Porsche.

I forgot about the 15% discount. The museum is the only place you can buy them unless you wait for one to show up on ebay for an inflated price. I emailed the museum and got a response from them a few days later.

I think this is a uniquely designed and pretty badge. I also like it, because it came from the area where I grew up - RURHGEBIET.

The Ruhrgebiet used to be a highly industrial area in Germany and the design within the perimeter of the eagle on the badge reflects this:
- Cole-mine towers in the center
- The left wing shows chimneys and refinery towers
- The right wing has factory buildings
In addition the overall shape of the badge is that of the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund - a concert and sport arena - with a close look at the badge, you can even see the silhouettes of visitors.

this badge from Rally 1959 with a drawing that looks like a 356!
Interesant or not?

Hi all,

Here is one from French part of Switzerland. It's the original enameled badge of the Club Porsche Romand founded in '61 in Lausanne.

The badge was installed in 67 on my father's BT5 front left fender. Unfortunately just the badge made its way to me, not the car which has been sold when I was born in '68.

Greetings
