Here's a shot of my son at the PA Porsche picnic last fall. He's only 2 1/2 so he says I drive a "Po Fa".

C Coupe under a live oak

Since I can't get this on the Old-New Calendar, you can enjoy it this way. Taken at the Charleston ECH.

Can't resist

#20 Post by Jim Johnston »

OK, I can't resist posting this one, newly my favorite picture because this is my freshly restored Speedster, after 2.5 years. The photo was shot by Steve Carrell, a professional photographer in Atlanta (and Porsche owner), who also did some photoshopping to remove golfers on the other side of the lake, along with planting a bit more grass. The car is fjord green (its original color), but it shows a bit more blue here because of the reflection of the sky - a typical effect with this color. I've cut this down to 1000 pixels, but the original is very high resolution using a long lens. He took about 60 shots in three locations at Stone Mountain, GA, along with that many more of Dick Howie's restored Speedster (aquamarine blue), including a few of the two cars together.

Parts & reflections

#26 Post by Jim Johnston »

Here is a shot of some pretty parts and reflections on my 1958 Speedster. The paint is fjord green but it picked up a lot of blue from the sky in this setting.
