Found this late 1960's/early 1970's Brumos frame a few months ago. The only one I've seen like this in modern times.

I would date this frame to no later than 1969, as it does not state "Porsche + Audi," which was likely required on any frames ordered by the dealership after the new, paired dealership network was established.

Here is a Vasek Polak Hermosa Beach Porsche Dealer license plate frame I’ve not seen while scanning through this site.
I picked up this plate frame somewhere, sometime during my travels over the last 36 years. Therefore, I don’t
remember where it came from.I've done a lot of on-line searching and following is some of what I've learned.

Do you think this Vasek Polak Hermosa Beach Porscha Dealer plate frame is original or a reproduction?

My frame looks like a new, shop worn plate.

My plate frame does not have the Robert W. Brown, Downey, Calif. manuf. Information cast
into the back of the frame. A known original does have this but some say not always.

Some things that make this frame seem very authentic include:
Excellent casting compared with a known original http://www.pbase.com/slidevalve91 ... _lic_frame

Original VPolak frame shown is chrome. My frame is black. I know from on-line discussions
that over time dealer frames do change.

Back of my frame has the manufacture markings like the originals. Many frames being sold as "original" do not.

The Original Vasek Polak Dealership was in Hermosa Beach and the first frames had Hermosa Beach at the
bottom (not the top of the frame)

My frame has a break on the upper left side.

What do you think?

It's a later frame from Vasek Polak.

Vasek Polak's original shop and dealership was located at 356 Sepulveda Blvd in Manhattan Beach, with his license plate frames embossed with "Manhattan Beach". In the early 60's he moved to Hermosa Beach, whereby his subsequent frames indicated that location.

Ladies and Gents, I am (desperately) looking for an original Brumos Porsche ATLANTA license plate frame to go with my '87 930 Turbo that was purchased new at Brumos ATL. I KNOW they exist because I saw a picture of one on this very thread (a Mark Pribanic collage pic) AND I have had other people tell me they are around. I plan to look around again this year in LA at the Lit Show though no luck last years. If anyone knows of where I might find one for sale (or ... for free) PLEASE let me know ASAP.
THANKS very much.

I just checked eBay, the Samba and Googled the topic but came up empty for the one from Atlanta. Maybe the Lit Show will be more productive. There is a guy that has been selling frames there the last couple of years. Best of luck!
