I ordered one of these for the hell of it. It's garbage. I wouldn't put it on a Yugo.

Here is a list of Porsche dealers in 1968. This list appears to cover from Hawaii to SoCal. I did notice Van Wyck on there, so I do not know how the regions were broken down.

Jon Warshawsky wrote:Roy, thank you. No paint on this purported original Competition Motors frame. I'll look for a Robert Brown or other maker's mark on the back.
Many of my older frames also have the same makers mark mentioned above. I recall the name Downey on them on the back side. But not all of my original frames have this mark either.
Marc I found my set of pictures of my Vasek plate. Here are the pics of what I was trying to convey.

Trevor,
Cool plate, I worked at Don Burns in `68-70
Don Burns was a VW dealer, when he opened the Porsche dealer a block away on Harbor Blvd, it was called Prestige Porsche.
Alot of fun back then. Alan Johnson driving the 911s in B sedan, and then Don bought the 910 hillclimb car for Alan to drive.

Business card showing Precision Motors as Porsche Dealer which began in 1955.

Mark P. Mentioned in an early post Precision started selling Porsche's in 1957. That sounds about right. Precision Motor cars was started by Bob Estes in Beverly Hills, California ( circa 1955 )and was later joined by Otto Zipper to form Estes-Zipper Porsche Audi.
