Toy Porsches

#1 Post by Andy Serdich »

I just ran across this thought I would share -- Evidently there is a company in Germany producing small 550 spyders that go about 5 mph for the kids. Price range 9k

Here is the link to where i found it

Andy,
Thanks for the post. I had no idea they were that expensive. That's $500 more than I paid for my running '58 coupe 10years ago.

Saw these two childrens cars the 356 and Ferrari on a low loader but no idea who made them. They were very nice quality and expensive no doubt

ZooSpeed Kiddie Rides

#6 Post by Guest »

The 550 has been part of the product line for some time. Not produced on account of JDean anniversary...
(man, I wish people would let go of absurd myths). Interwebs info. Meh.
Nice Speedster and Jag kiddie rides, too. Not cheap, but consider their market.
They have a sound system of real engine sounds for the electric version.

Earlier post about these in galleries: http://www.356registry.com/forum/album_ ... ?cat_id=46

Violetta is another maker of very nice miniatures, rather more expensive though. Their current website no longer includes the 550 Spyder which is a shame.
The product list is definately for those of the leisure class. http://www.prestigetoygift.com/index.html

Henri Bartels also builds really extravagant GP minis, check 'em out: http://miniauto.barthel.free.fr/pageentiere.htm

Looks like fun, huh? :D

Russ,

Thanks for that info, they make some really super kids cars now don't they. When I was a kid we had pressed out pedal cars that hardly resembled the cars they were supposed to be.

I need to figure out a way to block that website from my computers. If my 3-year old ever saw that...
