my kardex reports like first owner the:
"F. NEW YORK N.5589"

can somebody tell me what does it means?

It looks like that just may be the rest of Mr. Hoffmans address. Or possibly a freight number?

It looks to me like it says:

Fa. Hoffman, New York
f. NEW YORK Nr. 5589
