info on my kardex

looking at my kardex it reports the first owner of my '55 cabrio is:
-f. new york nr. 5589
anybody can tell me what does it means??

Did you ever find out what -f. new york nr. 5589 means?
I am trying to trace some history on my car, a '55, and any lead could come from anywhere, at any time...
