I decided to save a 1959 356 coupe to keep my metal fabraicator busy between jobs at the shop.
It is as large a project as one would want to take on.
It has an interesting history however I will most likely sell it as a roller once the body is perfect/ready for paint in order to fund my 55 speedster project.
As per the Kardex, the car was dellivered directly to a known four cam florida race driver of the 50's and 60's.
I assume the car was to be his daily driver or car for his wife as it was a base model car.

The car was last titled in Oregon and parked needing bodywork before i aquired it.
I aquired the car along with a bunch of parts and other cars from a 356 collector
I have since registered in my name in Canada. However it is now offically imported to the USA and at my shop in Tarpon Springs Florida.
This car can be sold in the USA or returned to Canada very easily.

I welcome the challenge as my metal fabricator is very good and I feel a 1959 coupe is always worth saving.

Currently fitting the original hood along with a pair of correct 1959 doors and rear trunk lid.
All other new sheet metal came from Restoration Design.

For some reason, my pictures file sizes are "too large" and cannot upload any more pictures.....

Looking great Tom.

Yea, the pics need to be resized. I use photobucket, which is not user friendly at all. You can try changing the size of the pictures you take.

It is quite an inconvenient process using photobucket, there must be an easier way.

Car is looking great though, congrats.

Tom, what's the chassis number of that car? -- what with famous race driving history and all.

The car is a John Cuevas car originally delivered direct to him from Porsche. His business "Quiver Enterprises" as per Kardex.
He raced four cam cars, which leads me to beleive that perhaps that was his street car or for his wife....
