My 356 Story in Video

My father Frank passed away just a few months after our car was finished up and ready to start enjoying, in 2017.
It was unexpected and the timing was gut wrenching - just a few days before my son's wedding. The car started out as a wrecked insurance salvage he bought when he was a dealer parts manager. I took interest in it as a kid and for decades it was an up/down start/stop type of project, but eventually my son and I convinced him to let us bring it to our town and get it finished.

Many of you here have strong family stories and memories connected with your cars. I set up this private YouTube page originally to share with some fellow car friends and family. Please refrain from linking out to other social media sites, as not everyone remains as courteous and respective as this community.

David, I am sorry for your loss but it's a beautiful car and more than an amateur video. I think Frank would be proud. The photo of him smiling? Priceless. Well done on both fronts!

David:
A very tasteful and poignant tribute to your dad and his passion. One to tuck away in the vault for future generations to admire.
Thanks for sharing,

David;
I just wanted to also compliment you on the video, a very nice tribute to your dad. Of course the coupe is an even greater tribute, it’s wonderful that he had the opportunity to drive it before he passed on.
I know that it was a great day for you and your son when got into the drivers seat.
Bob
