The car was originally restored poorly in the eighties,to the point the body was 25mm lower on the right side ,than the left.
The body was removed from the steel tubular space frame a brought to us to assess and hopefully save as much as possible. This restoration will be accompanied with plenty of research.
We begin with the inner rockers, after being previously over worked we decide to pattern and recreate.

Jon,
Have you ever tried Wray's flexible shape pattern method. It's a great way to get perfect symmetry from one side to the other.

You copy one side with the tape, and then reverse it with the other side. I can get pics when I'm out there this week if you need more info.

Here it is on the rear fender of the 550 project. You do it in sections, pull it off the car, and lay it on the piece you're working on, once it is tight to the piece you have the shape you need. To do the opposite side you reverse the taped section. It's brilliant in it's simplicity. You can check out more on Wray's site http://www.proshaper.com or on youtube
