I bought a gasket set from Stoddard for the 519 gearbox that I am working on. In the kit are new lock tabs for the differential but none of them fit
my six bolt differential properly. The pair that came closest squished out when I tried to torque down the bolts.
Since the bolts are drilled for safety wire I guess I will use that and forget about the lock tabs.
My question is whether or not to put wave washers or lock washers under the bolts before torqueing and wiring?

Re: Differential Assembly
I don't know what lock tabs you tried to put UNDER the bolts. Porsche finally gave up putting anything under the bolts when they went to the latest slotted bolts. The 19mm head on these is problematic in a 519. Use red Loctite and torque whatever you use to 65 ft-lbs. If the bolts can't take that torque, use better ones.
