]In the 2010 9-10 issue of the newsletter the resto strip talks about restoring the fuel sending unit. Unfortunately it doesn't provide much in the way of diagnosing problems. I cleaned up the one that is original to the 56 coupe I am restoring and it looked like the wire from the coil to the center contact was broken. I soldered a new wire to where I assumed it belonged but it doesn't seem to be working based upon the testing I have done.
I am attaching the best picture I have been able to take. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to how the wiring inside should be done between the various pieces?

Re: Fuel Sensor
That little wire needs to run along the rheostat I believe. So instead of it being on the back side of the screw hole, it needs to be on the front side, with it entering and exiting the rheostat through those little notches. Perhaps someone has a photo that illustrates this?
