1961 Notchbak battery box
Does anyone have information on how the original battery box bottom was attached to the body panel. Spot welded or gas welded? On a 1961 notchback

Re: 1961 Notchbak battery box
I just removed mine, was original, so many spot welds that it is very difficult to remove by removing spots. best to cut out and leave the original welds if rust is not a problem or they are so bad due to trauma that one can't straigten. there are plenty of photos on this forum showing pre restored battery floors. Mine is a 60 notch. You might find pics at "time to restore my notchback"
