If you have a Lietz luggage rack, you can do what Charlie White did on his 65SC cab and install a 911 rear red fog light as a 3rd brake light (on the left; back-up light on the right):

Or you could use 2 of the 911 rear red fog lights (from Pelican Parts, about $50 each) as I did, which I have wired to the right and left brake/signal lights (and flash together with them), giving maximum visibility.

The prior owner of my car was a neurosurgeon who was paranoid about a rear end collision. He had this installed and I kept it.

Just finished mine. Its an old Bosch red fog light I got from the Samba classifieds and put some super bright motorcycle LEDs in. Made a stainless bracket to bolt to the luggage rack. Does not interfere with luggage, but is also not visible when luggage is on rack, which is not too often.

All great ideas, i will adapt one to them to a 6 volt system, maybe 6 volt led's would work best.
