Hi all
I'm nearing completion of a full restoration of my Australian delivered 59' 356A Cab.
Needless to say there aren't many period correct radios over here to buy...if at all!
I would greatly appreciate knowing the correct radio model/s for my circa as well as any leads on where to search for a good working example.
Thanks in advance
Alex

From Charlie White's web site: http://derwhites356literature.com/New35 ... dioID.html You might try here for a radio: http://woodyscustomshop.com/

Konigs are a good source for the genuine article when it comes to classic radios. They're showing only one suitable match at present, a Blaupunkt Frankfurt halfway down this page.

If this doesn't suit then perhaps email them with your requirements.
I bought a radio from Konigs for what seemed to be a lot of money but it was a beautiful thing and I was very happy.
Alternatively, talk to Chrome London, they may be able to help. They advertise on DDk and are well thought of.

My late '59 coupe's COA specifies a Becker radio, it may even say "Europa" model.

I should add, however, I don't know exactly what the COA implies. It could reflect what was installed by a stateside dealer for all I know. Does it necessarily mean the car left the factory with a Becker installed? Somehow I doubt that. It also says my car had head rests and lap belts, but those may also be a dealer add.
In any case, a period Becker would not be out of place.
