I have owned a 1961 Roadster for approximately 18 years. This past winter I decided to restore the car because of some surface irregularities.
The Certificate of authenticity shows matching engine and transmission numbers and a 1600 engine. On examining the engine I have uncovered the following issues:
The engine had undergone an aftermarket big bore kit installation
The heads are from a Porsche 912
intake valves 37.9-38.1, exhaust valves 33.9-34.1
The car has always run fantastically well and I dont want to change anything in the engine.
Should I replace the 1600 emblem on the car or just leave the emblem off?
Thanks

I personally would leave the emblem where it is and not worry about it
And originally, it wasn't a 1600 either - it was rounded up
Just enjoy your car!

I totally agree with Greg. I wouldn't change a thing.
