Very hard as they are all excellent candidates with a compelling story. One thing which weighs heavily for me is if this is the only 356 a person owns or not. I hope the parts go to someone who through this help will get their car on the road and experience the joy of driving a 356.

I'm going for Trevor.
Anybody who would buy a car that is in three pieces is allright in my book.
Tough decision over Mark T but he's already got it all, haha,... great cars, beautiful wife who came with a Pre A coupe, fun Porsche friends.
All in jest Mark : )

Is it just me - how does one vote for a car? I go to all the sites and see no place to vote, just current standings. I am forum challenged.

Phil, and anyone else wondering: To vote, you must be logged in. The fact you posted here means you're already on the right page(s). Go back to the poll at the beginning of this thread (page 1). If you have not voted and you're logged in, you'll see a button to cast your ballot. You will not see that button if you are not logged in. If you have already voted, the button goes away, even if you're logged in.

Thanks Gordon
I voted last week for the previous round(I thought). But when I go to the first post where it is down to 4 cars I have no option to vote, so guess I voted for the final round..

Mine is for Trevor, while I love Todd's project, I think it will be great to see one of the few young members get the opportunity to finish and finally drive his 356!

Re: WCSTA FINAL VOTE May 23-31
There is a far more reaching issue in play here. That of the youth and enthusiasm, which has the possibility to keep this hobby alive in the future. I thought I was ambitious back in '64, in replacing a top and LF fender on my own '57 T1 Normal coupe, which I bought as a once rolled insurance company total loss. I still had a complete running car, with 56,000 original miles, and a straight chassis. What I did back then, pales by comparison, with these projects. I originally took the cursory glance, and decided to support Trevor, as I too, had a T1 coupe as a 19 year old youth, to feed what has become an addiction, which has lasted over 5 decades. After studying the stories, and the realization that the "Romantic" choice will always be the glorious "Speedster", I realized that for Trevor, this is his only avenue to 356 ownership. I then decided, that to support the future of this hobby (?), rather than another multiple Porsche owner, who has like many of us gotten distracted from his original lofty goal on the Speedster, to throw my full support, and encouragement to Trevor, and his 3 piece coupe project. You know, in retrospect, I may have, since it was my only car, and daily ride to college, to postpone my "all expense paid trip to South East Asia" (for which Lyndon saved my place), driven that old A Normal coupe, more miles, dependably, than any single one I've had since. My vote, and support, goes to Trevor's youth and enthusiasm!

Re: WCSTA FINAL VOTE May 23-31
I would like to take just a little of your valuable time to talk up Trevor Gates. He is a passionate young car guy, truly enamored with 356's, and has already been working long and hard progressing towards his dream. Trevor has proven his passion to me, by volunteering his time so all of us can enjoy our cars and 356 club events. All the projects presented here are worthy, but Speedsters will always get restored because the pay-off is so great today. 3-piece A coupes not so much, but the pay-off is even greater, personal, and not for sale. Trevor is a truly worthy young man who needs your vote...
