Thanks to all our members who took part in the voting. Our winner is Trevor Gates of San Clemente, California who will receive $5,000.00 in sheet metal parts from Stoddard / NLA, and another $2,500 in finishing parts when he gets further along. 84757 wouldn't have started if I didn't vote for her sister, the Speeder. Todorovich. Plus, his wife is cute and she has an early coupe...

#8 has my vote. Great storyline and clearly can use the sheet metal!

Re: WCSTA FINAL VOTE May 23-31
Voting for #25 all the way!
Trevor is an all around great guy and this is his first 356. If you know Trevor, you know about his tremendous knowledge and enthusiasm for these great little cars!
Trevor selflessly volunteers for every 356 event he can, even though he doesn't have the ability to bring his own 356! He does it for the love of the cars.
No he doesn't have decades of experience with Speedsters, Cabriolets, and Pre-A's, but I know he would do great things with these Stoddard parts and would be more than gracious for the support!
I would love to see what Trevor would do with his '57 Coupe if he won, and I'm certain he would share his progress with all of us!
He doesn't have 5 other P-cars in his garage...this is his only one! Let's give him a shot!

Re: WCSTA FINAL VOTE May 23-31
Hard to believe the voting thus far has been so anemic. For such a faithful following I was expecting a more robust early turnout. Everyone who has brought back a tub knows the grief and exuberance of what one finds when sorting out the condition of a vehicle that never had a chance of a long life.
I've become a coupe person after many years of rag tops and lots of air shoving my top hairs from the back of my neck to my forehead. But, there really is no substitute for open air driving.
Looking a the pack of finalist and the condition of their chassis, each needs more help that anyone should care to imagine. The hours of moving metal and binding new pieces to what's left of these rusted hulks is nothing short of pure stamina and dedication.
Each candidate is worthy of support, but only one will be selected. Story lines aside (everyone has a story to tell) which of these tubs would you rather see make it back to the open road?
For me the decision was easy. Of all the candidates, I would prefer to see another roadster back on the road any day of the week. Nothing says more about the thrill of driving a Porsche like the experience of an open air tub. Especially in the middle of winter with the top stowed, the tonneau properly positioned, and the heater set to maximum output.
If you haven't a clue which project to vote for, go with the roadster, the Speedster bro, Max Hoffman's dream come true.
