356 Outlaw from Germany
Just finished my 1960 Outlaw and had the first roll-out today. The car still has most of its original paint. Still needs some minor work like license plate lights, exhaust tips and bumper alignment.

I love it. Nice work! I'll bet that paint would buff out really nicely(if you wanted the shiny look that is).
Congrats.

Re: 356 Outlaw from Germany
The drop spindles are not adjustable! They just lower the car on the front about 2“ without changing the axle/suspension geometry.

Re: 356 Outlaw from Germany
Where did you get the front drop spindles? I have a 1960 T5 outlaw same color.

VW drop steering knuckles are pretty easy to come by, you need the type for older link pin suspension. Cip 1 or CB Performance are two good sources in America.

Re: 356 Outlaw from Germany
Are the new spindles made specifically for the 356 by Empi and Emory drop spindle?

I too am interested in hearing what drop spindles exactly did you use? Also do your tires rub at all during turning?

Re: 356 Outlaw from Germany
I’m curious if those 205/60r15 fit in the rear without modifications?
I thought 195 were widest that will fit without rubbing?

Dad’s 56 356A 1600 normal coupe (in the family since’58), and way too many old 2T motorcycles.
