Fuel line from back to the front

#1 Post by Helge Tielker »

Guys,

is there an instruction how to replace the fuel line from the motor to the front. With the new E10 benzine coming up on the market ... I guess it makes sense to replace it?

cheers

Helge, E10 benzene is not a reason to replace the line. Both my 59 cars still have their original steel lines and I don't expect to see any deterioration as a result of using E10. The flex connections however should be changed for modern hose compatible with E10.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

David, thanks for your response. I thought that the fuel line through the tunnel is not a steel line, so I guess I am wrong?

You're correct in that it is a hard line. David is referring to the sections at the ends near the fuel tank and between the tunnel and the engine that are rubber hose.
