Neil,

Looks great. Looking forward to seeing the final pieces and installation. Can you show us some pictures of your bead roller set up?

both parts now etch primed and epoxy painted inside ready for welding in. been using the tig more often as i don't have to switch the gas pipe over from the mig any more, i finally went and bought a 'y' piece from the local welding suppliers.

hopefully not too far away from completing the chassis now. i have sorted out something rather exciting and will post up a pic or two when its cut out and assembled. its a big step towards completing the front end and something i want to get done before my hand gets any worse. if you look at the last pic around the torsion tube hole you can see a square line, i put the hole in the wrong spot then cut it out, tig'd the hole up then put it in the correct spot. oh well its part of learning!

Neil,

That's a large piece to reproduce and it came out great. Thanks for including us in the restoration process.

i took a few pics of the inside of the rear x member (above the gearbox) just to show the state of the metal... as you can see the two pieces are not welded together through the centre, which i thought they would be.

Nice work, again. Keep up the posts. May not be too late to enter Stoddard's contest.

Neil has asked to have his project entered in the Stoddard We Can Save Them All contest. He's got a head start on everyone, but I'm sure there are more projects out there that are prime candidates.
Time to step up!

Hi Neil,

I looked into the Stoddard "We can save them all" competition and you must be a resident of United States which sucks for us.

Speak soon.

Unfortunately, the laws of the land restrict contestants in the We Can Save Them All contest to residents of the United States, so Neil has graciously withdrawn his entry.
Neil - please keep posting your progress - a lot of us are following your restoration with interest and envy of your skills.
Best regards.
