Thanks Joe! It was a great feeling of accomplishment to finish it in June. It has been a absolute pleasure to drive. Now that winter has set in the speedster is off the road and I am beginning to take it back apart to fix all of the little things....More posts to follow!!

Chad,
I love the colors. My car is currently a "Sky Blue like" color of relatively low quality with a black interior. I was thinking to change the leather parts of the interior to red (minus the dash) with the black/gray carpets. However, I was wonder how the red would go with the blue. Now I see it looks SMASHING!
thanks,
--Joe

You can find plans to build the rack at the following website:
http://www.emorymotorsports.com/the-rack
It took the better part of an afternoon to build and cost about $500 in material.
It worked great and allowed me to easily move the car around my garage and turn it on its side. The speedster will be on the road and driving this month. The "sorting" process will begin next week! Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Mark:
The nose section was too rough to save plus there were issues with part of the wheel arch. I ended up sourcing replacement metal from a donar car so it has all Porsche 356 Metal in it!

Beginning to work on my 16" wheels! Since my Pre A speedster was near the end of production they will be painted silver. Early speedster's had body color wheels.

Hi Vic...they are no doubt the tall ones (should be short and red)...however they came with car when I purchased it so I felt obligated to use them! NOS in the original box!

Very fun post. I have speedster 80255 undergoing restoration and have learned a lot from your experience. It too is speedster blue, but with white interior. Would it be possible to get you paint details?
