Dealer logo advertising on 356s
Anyone have photos of dealer logos (not plate frames) that were applied (read: screwed) to the back of 356s? In the '50s and '60 these were usually die cast, stylized type or logos of the dealer's name. I cringe to think of it, but a lot of cars had these applied. I'd be interested to see any photos you might have.

I think these Porsche plates suck and anybody who would go through the effort and expense to acquire one of these is off their rocker!
Oh, FRAME thread, not flame. Nevermind.

Re: Dealer logo advertising on 356s
Gordon, I've seen one from the Porsche Dealership Vern Hagestad of Denver, Colorado, but don't have a pic. Another 356 member has it in Jacksonville. I will see if I can get a pic in the future. I've never seen another Porsche one since...gordonmaltby wrote:Anyone have photos of dealer logos (not plate frames) that were applied (read: screwed) to the back of 356s? Here are 2 pics I took of badges on 550 Syders. Both spyders were from France.

Anyone have any history on this dealership?
[EDIT]
Found this on the internet.
You can barely see the end of Porsche on the building:
And another plate frame:

License frame "Let's Play in my Porsche"
Holy cow, I haven't seen one of those in years. I used to have one on a 911 in the '70s. I also had a set of frames I got at an Orange County Fairgrounds swap in about 1977 that said "California Sports Cars". Anybody know where that was?
