I realize that this is not an Aston Martin club but imagine how much Le Mans pedigree that DBR might have had shortly before becoming a US club racer? Note the turn buckles used as hold downs and think about what the cast off from the trailer tires was doing to the paint and the aluminum. How many million dollars is that car worth today?

Here is a period photo, I think form the factory files, that shows a T2 pushrod car with dual grills, shine down, and one piece overrider tube. Never say never. Porsche was like Burger King...have it your way.

I'll take pot luck and would be happy with the bike in the backround :D That 550 is a pre-production model made in 53 and the 356 is a Gmund car. Cool pic!!!

We're thinking snow here now, so look at this guy --

How did he get out of the car? Climbed out the window I guess --

Anybody who can identify that peak? Eiger maybe?

Sweet photo of the '54 Mille Miglia with 550-08. That is one of my bucket list dreams is to experience the Mille Miglia one year - either in or out of one of the participating cars

Found this vintage picture in a stack of paperwork that came with my porsche. Thought it was cool. I'm guessing it came with the car when purchased?

Check out this one I saw on DDK. I count 7 Spyders in the back row and 2 356's in the forefront. Wouldn't you love to go back in time to walk around in that shop... Does anybody know where the pic was taken?

Very interesting that the 356s are bare chassis, not complete chassis/body units from Reutter.

Could that be some kind of prototyping in connection with the Jagdwagen?
Judging from the Spyders, the timing could be right.
