Cool Rafik. Looks great! Did you do anything in cleaning internally the SWF motor itself?

Hi James, I just gave it a good spray of WD40, checked all the wires then tested it
To answer your question about the date, according to info I received from Porsche, my Speedster was built 3rd Mar 1955. This date supports the date stamped on the door lock, 2 55

Put new rear hand brake cables in but the original front one cleaned up ok so I reused it
Also routed the lines for the dual circuit master cylinder. In order not to drill any holes anywhere, I decided to place the reservoir on top of the MC. Shouldn't be a problem getting access to it using a hose
Hmmm, hang on, I think I might have a problem here. I will post a picture tomorrow of why

Got the gauges back from the shop. They are absolutely perfect. Pictures don't do them justice. New bezels, glass and full service
Before After I asked the shop not to touch the back, didn't want any factory markings to be lost. Did the polishing myself. Will leave the back untouched. Note the stamped dates The oil temp gauge still to be done. I haven't decided to stick with the 6v system or convert to 12v

The idiot lights cleaned up well. Unfortunately the panel shop lost the green glass on the oil light while removing it so now I am on the hunt for one

Last couple of weeks had slow progress, was waiting for a whole lot of parts to arrive. Finally received the package last night.
Also this thing got in the way, had to do some work to get it running
Got stuck into the handbrake cables this morning. The rear brakes are now complete

Early "deep" instruments should be black on the sides ?
Looks like you need the correct decals on your Koni shocks.
