Todays 356 Drive, Mt Umunhum

#1 Post by Steve Douglas »

Great day for a drive: 18 356s with 37 people made accent on Mt Umunhum today. A mid-week drive part of the 356 CAR's Peaks and Valleys Challenge. Mt Umunhum is a mountain just south of San Jose, 3489 ft elevation, and was once occupied by the Air Force Radar Facility. Now open as a regional park, with views from the Pacific Ocean Monterey Bay and SF Bay Area. Great day in the 70's and hardly anyone on the roads. Lunch on the patio, at Mo's. Next drive June 5th Sacramento to Columbia, along Highway #49, California's Gold Rush Country.
