The Board of Trustees has approved our proposal for an East Coast Holiday in Ocean City, NJ for the third week of October, 2018, one of the nicest times of the year to enjoy the Jersey Shore. The historic Flanders Hotel, built in 1923, will be our Headquarters for the weekend. Any number of tours are planned, to include trips to the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia and Cape May. A parade of bathtubs and a taste of the the Boardwalk are planned for Friday. The Concours on Saturday morning will be on the Boardwalk, right down the street from the Hotel. More details forthcoming in the next issue of the Registry! Stay tuned and check out our logo, attached. We look forward to seeing you 'down the shore' and on the boardwalk next year! Thanks to all! Bob Gutjahr and Ellen Beck

This may have to be my first Holiday. We go to OC regularly to visit my inlaws and some friends. I love going there, especially off season!

Thanks, George. Ellen and I and our kids are here at OCNJ this week for annual vacation. We met with the City Chamber of Commerce again on Monday, and everything is falling into place nicely. The City has many new shops and bistros. We think our Holiday registrants will really enjoy them and our planned schedule of events. Bob and Ellen

This sounds incredible. As a kid, this was my family's beach holiday spot so I know the town. Include the Simeone Museum and I just can't say no. Really looking forward to attending my first holiday since 2006. And this time, I'll actually be an owner. :)

Hi Sean,

Thanks for your kind words. We are scheduled to visit the Simeone Museum on Thursday, 18 October 2018. Departure from OCNJ at 9:00 AM. We'll visit the Museum, have a catered lunch, and then return before the onset of Philadelphia's rush hour. Dr Fred Simeone has tentatively agreed to roll out the 917 for some demonstration runs in their parking lot.

Bob and Ellen

BTW, the lady that made the presentation about this event at the Heartland Holiday banquet was tremendously impressive. Excellent presentation and the event looks to be very well planned. She should be on the chamber of commerce for that area!!

Hi Steve!

Thanks and great to hear from you. The lady who gave the presentation at the Heartland Holiday banquet was none other than Ellen Beck, my wife and co-chair of our Holiday in Ocean City, New Jersey.

We're hoping Jeff Gamble, you and some of the Arizona Outlaws will be able to make the trip east for this event.

One of the items we're considering selling at our Goodie Store is the Surfer's Cross- which was very popular back in the day and looks almost exactly like the German Maltese Cross- the basis for Gary Emory's very cool Outlaw logo.

Please say hello to all of my friends in Arizona.

Bob Gutjahr

FYI, I called today for reservations, the single bedrooms filled up quickly.
Two bedrooms and suites are still available.

Hi Victor. You are correct, and that information is on our website. Watson's Regency Suites, about a block over from the Flanders, is offering similar accommodations (single, two and three bedroom suites) at the exact same rates. We are working with another hotel for additional rooms, as well. Bob
