Drei Staaten Gruppe 356 club 40th Anniversary Bull Session

#1 Post by Stan Yarrish »

PLEASE NOTE THE REGISTRY NEWS EMAIL BLAST ON 4/8/2016 INCORRECTLY LISTED OUR 40TH ANNIVERSARY AS DAYTON, OHIO. THIS IS WRONG. OUR WEEKEND IS BASED IN CINCINNATI, OHIO. THANKS

For questions about our 356 weekend, please feel free to send me syarrish@aol.com or Peter Boettcher pboettcher@cinci.rr.com
an email with any questions about the weekend plans. A RSVP FORM is now attached to be filled out and sent back to Peter Boettcher.

The Drei Staaten Gruppe invites all 356 enthusiasts to our 40th Anniversary party on May 21-22, 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Read below to see what we have in store for this special weekend for our 356 club. All are welcome and we ask for an RSVP
form which is attached below to be returned to Peter Boettcher.

The Cincinati Porsche 356 car club was loosely organized by a small group of 356 faithful 40 years ago.
They have been gathering at local club member venues for the annual “Bull Session” ever since.
In about 2001 the club became an officially recognized 356 Registry club affiliate and the Drei Staaten
Gruppe was born. After a few missed years, the club reenergized the Bull Session and Family Picnic
at Sharon Woods Park in 2008. The club has grown to over 75 members, most who own Porsche 356’s

The Drei Staaten Porsche 356 Gruppe will celebrate their 40th Anniversary with a two day casual and fun 356 weekend centered
in the Cincinnati, Ohio area on May 21 – 22, 2016.

The weekend will be capped off on Sunday, May 22nd with our long standing Bull Session and Family Picnic. The host hotel
which is close to Sharon Woods Park, is the Doubletree Suites hotel at 6300 E. Kemper Road, Cincinnati, 45241.

The annual Bull Session and Family Picnic will be held at the Lone Oak Pavilion in Sharon Woods Park. This is a free event but we will ask
for an RSVP (see above) to insure we have enough food and drinks for lunch.
We will have our own private shelter and a large parking area for your car. Lunch will be served around noon.
There will be a swap meet for all Porsche related goodies,
People’s Choice competition for some really neat Porsche AG Club Trophies, our always challenging
Porsche Trivia Quiz, and this year Anniversary T Shirts.

In addition we will be inviting owners of some very historic and interesting Porsche owners to display their cars at our
Bull Session. We already have a commitment for a Porsche 904, a 918 Spyder, and a Singer Porsche!

The Saturday May 21st agenda will be an offering of fun places to visit in Cincinnati or within
an easy driving distance for a day trip. Saturday evening will be capped off with a B&B Riverboat
dinner cruise, with boarding at 6PM, departure from the dock at 7Pm.

The Saturday offerings will be a choice of:
Drive to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail (led by a DSG member), leaving about 9:30AM or a
Drive to the United States Air Force Museum in Dayton , Ohio, leaving about 8:30AM ( led by a DSG member)
See attachment below for more info about the AM/PM driving tours.

Other info for in town self guided tours will be to:
Visit to the American Sign Museum, in the Camp Washington area of Cincinnati, or
Queen City Underground Tour, begins at 1332 Vine St, at 10:30 AM – 2 hr tour
Cincinnati Brewery history Tours, begin in Findlay Market or in OTR district

Saturday evening will be the B&B Riverboat river cruise.. boarding at 6PM, departure ate 7PM sharp.

Visit our website http://www.dreistaatengruppe.com for more info as the organizing committee puts the
finishing touches on the 40th Anniversary weekend plan.

All Porsche enthusiasts are welcome to join in the fun and games for the weekend. We would like
to see your 911's, 914's, and all other Porsche models in addition to our 356's at the Picnic
and Bull Session.

I can't get the link to your web site to work using either Explorer 10 or Google Chrome.
Is the web site under "construction"?
