Summer 356 Tour - SF Bay Area July 11th

#1 Post by Steve Douglas »

Come and enjoy a day of backroads, beer, ocean, and beer. July 11th, 9:30am, meet in downtown Saratoga, CA. 14445 Big Basin Way Saratoga 95070 park behind the shops on the right/north in the big lot. Look for the brown "Public Parking" sign. We will leave at 10am. Take Highway #9 through the redwood forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains. 1st stop will be in Ben Lomond at the Mountain Feed and Farm, much more than it sounds lots of great stuff. Then onward, more mountains, then the ocean, north on Highway #1 for lunch at Highway #1 Brewing Co. Beer and great food, probably outside on the patio. Then north again, to Pescadero, via some little know roads. Depends upon timing how long we stay in Pescadero, time to check some of the shops, stretch out legs. Final leg will be back into the mountains again La Honda, with an ending destination of the historic Alpine Inn in Portola Valley, possibly more beer? 6 hours with stops/lunch, 10-4 is the best guess on timing, 110 miles. Bring a Porsche, yes, 900s welcome too. Information Steve Douglas, email: soquelglen@prodigy.net or see www.356CAR.org for updates

Thanks for putting this together Steve. We'll be camped nearby and spending some time with Margaret down in SC. We're about 50-50 on joining part of the cruise anyway - maybe we can catch up at the lunch stop. Do you have an ETA for that?

THANKS

Thanks Steve for putting on a fun tour. Although we had to depart before lunch so we could go see our daughter we enjoyed the trip and the camaraderie. We're on the road for another 2+ weeks. 356CAR and 356 Club of SoCal - what car clubs should be. THANKS.
