As you probably all know, the 40th International Porsche 356 Meeting takes place right now.
Yesterday I went to visit the Maredsous Abbey were the cars gathered for lunch.

Tim,
That is a beautiful abbey with beautiful 356's.
But, you didn't mention the beer from Maredsous…that's the best part!

Ok Dan.....all attendees were given a gift bag which included a presentation pack of 3 Maredsous beers , see picture below

Blonde at 6% v/v alcohol

Brune at 8% v/v alcohol

Triple at 10% v/v alcohol

A clear reference to Porsche engine ratings ie Normal , Super , Super 90 or Carrera !

...following on about the event , I did take pics of cars with a sporty look , as well as the pic of beer bottles !

There were 135 or so cars , with a strong showing of A's , and the earliest car I saw was a '51 split screen pre A .
I was in a '63 C with a race-tested co-driver , great winding roads through the countryside south of Brussels , and an impressive snake of 356s to follow. Some Carreras including a 'loaner' Carrera 2 being driven by Bob Garretson . It was an honour to meet up with him and with Bob Campbell , I was sorry to hear that Jim Liberty unwell and could not make the event.

OK , here are some pics..
