Roy Lock, Jim Liberty, Jeff, Pete and all,
Is there a Pre Drive your 356 Day drive to Cars and Coffee in Irvine this Saturday?
Will there be enough room for the So Cal 356'?
If you live in Fallbrook/Poway/Pasadena/Rendo Beach are you too far away to make it on time?
What turn off the 5 do we take ? and what is the best time to start showing up?
Can someone take a picture that we can send to Gordon by Oct. 1?
The Cars and Coffee Irvine web site says there is a live camera so someone living in Pacific Grove with a Cat on her lap can see our cars in Irvine LIVE??? Is that true?
hi John

Re: Cars and Coffee Irvine this Saturday
Dick, I haven't been a quite a while. But I will be there this weekend.
My friends have been telling me that the place has been a zoo. More cars than the 400+ slots in the main lot. They have been turning people away. Guys tell me that inorder for you to get in the Big Dogs row in front, you have to be there NLT 0600. I guess it will be a 0500 start for me.
I am also told that the spectator lot has been filling up early and there is a line to get a parking spot in the 3 story parking structure!
This event is getting way out of line and crazy. John and Linda are trying to get a handle on the crowd to keep things orderly. They have been doing this for north of 4 years without a break.

AHHHH, thanks John.
Once a year, Mazda takes over the lot to host their enthusiast event.
The drive up the Ortega is nice. You just gotta watch out for the CHP. On the east end, there is a biker cafe/look out point, name which escapes me right now, that has a spectacular view of the Salton Sea.

This weekend is the Tournament of Speed in San Diego on Coronado. The Porsche corral is huge but you have to be a member of PCA San Diego. Two days including races featuring 356 class cars...................all classes are racing. It is part of San Diego Fleet Week.

The overlook is of Lake Elsinore. The water is about as bad though.

Jon you are right. It is lake Elsinore. Here is a 60's/70's photo of that location
