They attach to my e-mails easily. They are too much trouble (I can't make it work) on this site. .....................Jim.

24 days and 7500 kilometers, but tons of fun. NOT ONE mechanical glitch (except an LED bulb). Portugal green hills with beautiful coast, but Spain a lot like cruising California. At a little chateau/vineyard in the middle of nowhere south France, best meal EVER! The mountains, although daunting and sometimes wet, are Speedster heaven. And old stuff is everywhere!
A big thanks to Jim and Tiffany for representing our Registry so graciously...

A trip of a lifetime. We planned such a trip 5 years ago but life reared it's head. Still and all, one of my goals to do the same with a couple of friends.... would appreciate any advice or information you can pass on.

Re: Travel in Europe, International Meeting
Craig, thanks for posting these wonderful pics. Guys, we hooked up with Craig and Mandy by pure chance. Along the way, all three cars were shunted of the motorway into a rest area by a police patrol. Many official cars, and more cops. We drew a pass, but "Bad Boy Richter" had no front plate on his car. All ended well, these European police are very professional, and courteous. The 356 Police car escorted us on our drives. Local police were alerted to not stop a 356 for speeding or drinking wine. Actually in that part of the world, wine is food, just like beer in Germany.

Re: Travel in Europe, International Meeting
thanks Jim and Craig.
Jim, I expect you did not really want to start a new thread, when there is already an existing thread on the meeting. So I am hoping Greg will once again merge the two parallel threads. You have any number of wonderful photos yourself to post, not only on this subject, that we have to get you to click "full editor", then go to upload attachment (click choose file) and select the photo you want to include and click "add the file", with comment (can be title) if you want. It should be a .jpg file type and The only thing is to first reduce the file sizes of any photos you want to include. Thats especially easy on a MAC where you can crop and reduce photo size in preview. I expect there are equally easy photo editors in windows. Here are a couple of photos I posted elsewhere:

Re: Travel in Europe, International Meeting
Jim, Thanks for the great story of your travels to the Portugal 356 event and all 7500 clicks. Great that Craig posted your photos. (it's not that hard as Bill described above but photos have to be in .jpg format to do it.)
Note: the current issue of Classic Porsche magazine has a feature article about Jim's restoration of a '54 sunroof coupe for Jason and Jack Reich. Beautiful car with all the right stuff -- in-the-nose fog lights, red tipper on the cowl, oil hang tag on the oil filter, Derrington wheel, Abarth muffler, Abarth and Liberty Motorsports badges next to the 1954 black CA lic. plate, and on and on.

Re: Travel in Europe, International Meeting
I might say "Thank You Brad" for the hang tag, and all the other parts on this car you are responsible for.
Bill, thanks for the pics. Was this a wonderful event or what.
