"Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance"

#1 Post by John Z. Goriup »

This is the only event at Car Week at which I spend the entire day, literally, from 5 AM as part of the "dawn patrol', until most have left, the simple theory being that mere mortals most likely will not get another opportunity to view these cars again.

A wonderful occasion with consistently great automobiles, in a magnificent venue - my personal favorite............. this year was my 23rd consecutive visit. It just never gets old.

John:
Thanks for sharing your photos. I ventured from San Fran to see the concours as part of my "See the Big 3" concours bucket list wish (Amelia, Meadowbrook - now St. John's, Pebble) this year. My favorites were the Saoutchik-bodied collection, especially the 1948 Cadillac with the purple caneback on the doors. Something Elvis would have loved.
But the crowds - OMG! How did you get such people free shots?
