Ski Roundtop Swap Meet, Lewisberry, PA, Sep. 20, 2008

#1 Post by Adam Wright »

I just spent the day buying up stuff for the gift bags we will be giving out from our booth at this great event. Mike Moody has been doing this for several years now and it only gets better every year.

Swap meets are a great way to get out and actually meet each other, instead of just typing hello into your keyboard. Not to mention a great way to find parts. Every time I go to a swap I either buy something or sell something to someone who has been looking for a long time.

The Ski Rountop Swap is Sept. 20th in Lewisberry, PA and is not to be missed.

The event is only air cooled parts so no worring about having to duke it out with a bunch of 944 guys!

For more info you can contact Mike Moody at 717-432-4116

Unobtanium will be there and make sure you stop by for a FREE gift bag full of cool stuff.

Okay, so I just stuffed these gift bags full of cool stuff. So everyone has no excuse not to come to the seap and pick up some free car stuff.

This way no one goes hom empty handed.

Remember, a swap meet is just like a party, we need people to come and bring their parts to sell/swap. I am bringing a whole truckload, plus the gift bags.

Ski Roundtop is much more laid back than Hershey, this is a great swap to bring all the extra stuff in your garage, just put it in the trunk and sell it, or trade it for something you need.

WE can bring the swap meet back!!!!!!!

Can you possibly tell me where the event is, and what time it starts? If it is actually at the ski area, then that should not be too hard to find on google. I will be coming from northwest of Philadelphia.

Thanks
Rich

through traffic signal .6 miles to right turn onto Pinetown Road. Follow 2
miles to left turn onto Mt. Airy Road. Continue 1.5 miles to right turn
onto Roundtop Road. Ski Roundtop is 1 mile on left.

Gates open to vendors at 8:00am.

See you there.

Eric

Unfortunately, we're gonna miss it this year. I'm in Florida for work and won't be getting back to PA until Saturday afternoon.

If any of you guys are contemplating your first trip to Roundtop, I highly recommend it. It is an old-time fun swap meet. A couple of years ago, Bruce Baker and I actually swapped 356 parts! Get there early. It's a great opportunity to put faces with names that you've read on 356Talk and in the Registry magazine.

I'll see some of you guys in L.A. in March.

Bruce is right on about meeting people. I first met Bruce and his wife at Roundtop.

For real people, everyone always wines about EBAY being Evilbay and all that, but they don't come out to the Anti-EBAY, the swap meet. You can't have it both ways.

Roundtop is the perfect laid back swap to fill the trunkload of parts and start swapping.

If anything you will get a FREE Unobtanium gift bag. I even saw one of my bags being traded at the Registry swap meet last week, they are very cool.
