EURO Auto Festival - Greer, SC - Oct 14-16, 2011

#1 Post by Jim Phillips »

EURO Auto Festival is entering it's 16th year and will again be held at the BMW Zentrum Museum on the beautiful campus of the BMW Manufacturing Plant in Greer, South Carolina. As usual, featured and honorary marques will lead the field of one of the largest European car shows in the Southeast. On October 14-15-16 the event will be celebrating all European manufactured automobiles with special emphasis on the 1961 introduction of the Austin Healey Sprite/MG Midget models affectionately know as "Spridgets". The honorary marque will be the fabulous Jaguar XKE, the car that changed the face of sports cars forever 50 years ago at the Geneva Auto Show. We anticipate a large turn out of approximately 500 cars including Porsches of all models starting with the 356.

In an effort to refresh EURO after 15 successful years, steps have been taken to change some of the weekend's features and renew some of the old favorites. The new host hotel will be Greenville's Embassy Suites and Golf Resort, offering great rooms, attractive rates and a beautiful setting. Exciting new programs are being added such as technical sessions, wine & history tours and even a spouses program. EURO is also bringing back your favorites - factory tours at BMW Manufacturing with driving events at the BMW Performance Center.

There will be activities scheduled over the entire weekend starting:
Friday, October 14th. Tech Sessions, Tours, Reception Party, Club Meeting Time
Saturday, October 15th, show day and performance driving events, Awards Banquet/Speaker
Sunday, October 16th, Scenic Tour / Run Rally / Lunch.

All procedes will benefit the diaster relief program of the American Red Cross
