VELOCITY: the Art of Motion Is a Hit... Closes Aug 3.

#1 Post by Michael Jekot »

Velocity: The Art of Motion

Exhibit runs from June 29-August 3, 2008

This will be the largest, stand-alone automotive fine art exhibition in the United States and the first time such an event has occurred in the Upper Midwest. Given the history of the site of Hopkins Center for the Arts (former dealer lot of Suburban Chevrolet), nothing could be more appropriate than celebrating the automobile and the art it has inspired.

The invitational exhibition, curated by Michael Jekot, will include paintings, sculpture, photography, illustration and collage by an international roster of artists.

See you in DT Hopkins, 15 min. from DT Minneapolis, MN

Michael, it looks like a wonderful exhibition and series of events. Almost good enough to persuade me to make a trip to the Twin Cities. Unfortunately my schedule won't permit that, so all the other Registry members in the area should attend in my place.

It's a delight to see you are the Curator of this exhibit, that's a credit to you both as an artist and as part of the community.

Thanks for the kind words. The exhibit is over a month long with a very special night devoted to the local Nord Stern Porsche group here on July 10th. Maybe worth the trip?

Just after the successfully launched opening we got a little help from the local television station... There is a short 15 second ad in front of the video clip FYI. Enjoy. Mike
