Dash socket 6/55

hello, what should a dahsocket look like for a 6/55 coupe? thanks!

here is a picture of my accessory socket, from a 1957 356 a coupe.
yes, I know, I should not have painted over it.. it was one of the only things on the car that I could not get loose..

Donald, thanks for the nice clear pictures. That looks original to me?

Jim, i looked at stoddard and sierra and found none.
I think they do not reproduce them...

We sell a dash socket that is similar to the later BT5/6 socket. The chrome ring is different. Ask for Aaron 800.356.2964

At the upcoming Lit Meet, you will certainly find several of these dash sockets for sale. There was more than one version. Don's photo is a good start.

As Brad mentioned there are more than one type this is the early 356 a type

The screw connector socket was used up to the early A cars

Thanks for the clarification guys looks like I have the wrong accessory port in my 55 cab... Good thing its cold and wet out today here in the north east. Gunna spend the day looking through my boxes of parts ... Thibaut if if find two I will let you know...

Ned, the socket in your photo is the same as in my 1958 T2.
