That's a terrific price if you own a ContinentalMartin Bruechle wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 12:24 pm Sold $112,000. I'd say fair price ?
Or is that a good price with the docs and matching numbers ?

Another $ 5000 auction fee is $ 117,000
It was a complete matching car. And I suppose it must be one of the first continentals with blunt hood handle. The holes of the continental script were visible on the inside of the front fenders.
Add this amount again to do the restoration and you come to $ 234,000

Color combo hard to beat and probably contributed to price. Still a long road ahead ........

Re: continental for sale on the BAT and continental list
I am the new caretaker of 52853 and live in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The car
was completed on Nov 30, 1954 and upon close inspection, does have all the
holes for Continental badging filled, but completely obvious.
I'm going to replace with reproduction badges from Eric Koenig, free the
motor with a freshing rebuild and drive with a huge smile! I am cleaning
the car a little bit more everyday and other than the trunk and exhaust it
is super solid. I look forward to being a member of the Registry, John
BTW, Yes I paid a lot and helped everyone's Continental's value! lol
I am confident in 10 or so years I will be extremely happy about my purchase, and have a hell of a lot of fun getting there!

Cool car, change the taillights back to beehives, fix the battery box and re-undercoat. Then drive the wheels off.

Re: continental for sale on the BAT and continental list
Hello John,
thank you for registering and congratulations on your purchase. I had already listed it in my list and is the first continental. I would also install the beehives and mount 16 inch wheels. The 16 inch wheels give a different look to your car.
