WTB '55 case part /help

Hi,
My shipper has lost a box and now I'm missing a piece of the 3 piece engine case..
It is the driverside that is missing and the other two are stamped 531, see photo.

Does anyone know if a 55 -56 piece fit, or is there someone with a (leftover) case part?

Ohh, Bonno. If your shipper has actually lost the left side case half you seem to be referring to, you are in some deep do-do! Although it is possible to match mis-matched case halfs with some skillful machining, you're talking about a valuable old car that will have a cloud over any future "numbers matching" claims. I hope you had good insurance.

Thanks yes, we are aware about this. It will be difficult, but we never change numbers.
