53 Pre-A for auction in Australia

#1 Post by Mervyn Hyde »

This one is coming up in Australia. If around $A200K ($US 141,000), it seems reasonable value?

For the purist looking for maximum authenticity this is not the one or at least one needs to prepare to spend few tens extra to fix them. Hard to say about the bodywork from the images, looks like there is bigger gap on leading edge of the door. Interior is a combination of elements from different years, but biggest concern to me is the serial number which looks sketchy. It certainly does not look correct for the factory stamping and looks like there are double stampings. I would be extra careful to check everything is legit with it.

Thanks Aki. I also wondered about the serial number. I guess to some extent it depends on the accompanying paperwork apnd evidence.
