Glove box code

Does the glovebox lock have a key code “on the lock” itself?
If so where can I find it?

The pre A glove box codes will fall into one of several series... sequences for lock code numbering: 926-975, 1201-1266... I have several of these apart right now and I have not found the code stamped on the outside. Usually the code is listed on the kardex if any where. Most kardex do not have the glove box codes... the keys are easy enough to make and the lock is typically in a cabriolet so access is not a problem. Maybe stamping the codes was not done because of the ease of access? Many people want to match the glove box and door handle keys. Both the glove box and door handle locks take the same blank for pre A cabriolets.
