Im looking for pictures to see how the front wheel wells are finished specifically I need to know if the two panels are flush or if the outer panel is supposed to sit about 10-12mm lower. I have seen both ways on really nice cars. Here is the way I have it now.

Here are a couple of photos of my '53 cab after chemically stripping and before cutting on anything: And here with the new door cell and closing panels installed with bottom edges flush: This is a photo I took of a Speedster in a restoration shop near San Diego a few years ago indicating the outermost closing panel to be lower as you describe.

My 53 coupe 50199 has the inner panels flush at the bottom.

A related bit of trivia - - -
When inspecting unrestored pre-A cars, if you look closely at this area sometimes you will see an odd-looking tack weld or a rusty bit of wire hanging from the lower edge of the closing panel. That was part of a reinforcement for the rocker panel. When the body was manufactured the forward end of the rocker panel on some pre-A cars got a little brace wire that connected the closing panel and the lower edge of the rocker - - - -
